Neuss: A win with Molly
I had two good chances today at Neuss and thanks to winning with Molly Le Clou this turned out tob e a fine day.
My trainer did enter Molly and Capitano for a small weight for age-race to let them practice for the Grand Prix at St. Moritz on snow. Both were clearly above the field with Capitano 10 kilo above Molly. The coach asked Filip Minarik and myself only to make sure that the horses don’t have to swallow the dirt of the others. Filip took the lead straightaway but was trying to slow down so much that I decided to take over. I know Molly by heart and I did not want to risk a slow pace. And I knew that the trainer would support my reasoning. Molly had plenty of fun on the sand and we won by a canter. Let’s put it that way: Grand Prix – here we come! And I hope I will be allowed to ride him!
The other ride was on Decadent Times in low handicap (Agl.IV), who belongs to the sisters Barbara Sofsky-Prapppbacher and Stephanie Sofsky. I wasn’t bad but not good either. He did not like the ground. Neuss is rather special. Fifth place was ok and I sure he will win his races on sand.
