Early end to the season

It happened in the second race in Dortmund on Tuesday evening. My horse did collide and my foot did hit something hard. You are full of adrenalin so you don’t really notice in the beginning. But when cantering back in I saw that my boot was in pieces and my foot look double the size.

The doctor thought something must be broken and I was send to the hospital in Dortmund. But after the x-ray the all-clear came: nothing broken only sprained. I was told to rest for a fortnight.

It ain’t easy but I will listen to the doctors as I have important things do in January and February and I don’t want to risk anything. So I called off the last two days of the season. I will return in the saddle on the first of January at Neuss!
