Hannover: Win with Mountain Man
I was booked for three rides at Hannover today. In the moment everything works fine and if I'm driving home happily everything is okay.
My first ride was on Pajette for trainer Gunther Roday in a handicap (Agl.I) over 2.000m. I had been riding the filly before and today I took the race from the front. We were entering the final stretch hands full but the nothing. I'm puzzled. She gives you a good feeling but when it counts there is nothing to find.
I did ride for the first time for trainer Svenja Winter. I really wanted to ride for her as I knew Mountain Man very well. When I watched his last race I gave her a call and asked if I could ride him. She did not hesitate and agreed. He was my personal hope for the day and Mountain Man certainly did not disappoint. We were leading early on and he kept on fighting and certainly earned his win against the favourite. Finally I broke my duck by winning at Hannover for the first time.
In a top hancicap (Agl. II) I was able to ride Bavarian Beauty again for trainer Jule Arnold - a horse I had won at Hamburg. I was a tough race. Jule asked me to ride Bavarian Beauty to get an honest opinion about her. What shall I say: We could not get a position up front, but that's not a problem for Bavarian Beauty. We had a good race, she wanted but just could not do more. In the end we finished in fifth place. That was not bad she did fight very hard.
